It was around the turn of the century that Ell’s great grandma spent the afternoon in this pretty outfit.

Made of cotton batiste, and trimmed in French lace, the bodice is gathered at the neck and waist, leg of mutton sleeves end with a lace ruffle. The bodice is attached to a full petticoat with bottom ruffle trimmed in matching lace. Although this was designed with a blouse and petticoat in mind it would look very sweet made up as a dress. The 5 panel skirt has pleats at the back waist for added fullness and is trimmed in black gimp braid. The belt in not included in the pattern.
